Introduction to Digital Multimedia
This course will give you the ability to develop the relevant knowledge, skills and competence in the area of Digital Multimedia and Graphic Design. The learner will be provided with the opportunity to use a combination of media such as sound, video, film, animation, graphics and artwork. This will assist in the production of graphic design, computer games, websites or advertisements. Learners will gain skills in industry computer packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Premier Pro. This is an introductory course that will help prepare you in gaining access to careers in Web, Motion Graphics or Multimedia Industries such as Web Design, Multimedia Production, Digital Video Production, Graphic Design or new Media Technologies.

Course Requirements: For those with English as a second language, a good standard of both written and spoken English is required.
Progression Routes:
- Employment in graphic design and digital multimedia sector
- Further Education: Specialise in a specific areas, for example a QQI Level 5 Major Award in 3D Animation and Digital Multimedia
- Third Level Education: Apply directly to an undergraduate degree or to Access Programmes in institutions such as UCD, Trinity College or Carlow IT.
